Broadsword Guide to the Negative Energy Plane

Hey friends,

I've been working on the Pledge Manager and finishing up the last project, Werebeasts. I should have it live sometime next week. It'll then be open for three weeks, so I have time to finish polishing the bonus content. At that point, we'll lock, charge, and release the PDFs.

Looks like the tariff stuff is at a stalemate for a moment, but that doesn't matter since the only item we ordered overseas already came (and I paid a healthy tariff on it, womp womp). The books are being printed in the US via Amazon.

Hey all,

Just letting you know that the funds arrived safe and on time. So now we're putting forth any extra orders we need to do along with getting things printed. The core book and monster book have a few key art pieces I'm waiting on (gawd monster books take a ton of art), but those should both be done relatively soon. 

It helps that we started doing monster art for this back in January. ;)

If this is your first time doing one of my pre-order/Patreon campaigns, here's what you can expect:

PATREON BACKERS at the Gold+ level will get a chance to add extras they want for which they have credit. I'll set up a new Discord server and invite you to it on Patreon. The process will work similarly to last time. If it's your first time doing this, just hit me up. I'll tell you how much credit you have, then apply that to whatever you want. All you gotta pay for is shipping (again, it's like... $10).

PS If shit goes off the rails for some reason, I'll let you know what's up. I've learned from past campaign fuckups (of which I have many... ugh) that having shit done before the campaign ends is always best. In this case (and all campaigns going forward)... I do. But I also sometimes want to add more shit or do last minute edits. For example, the main book is like... 300 pages. I couldn't stop adding stuff.

Either way, I'll keep you in the loop.

Hey friends!

As of this writing, we're about 3 hours from the campaign finishing up. So here's what you can expect:

May 6. The campaign ends today at 12:00 p.m. CST.

You'll be charged immediately after it ends.

~May 20. Backerkit sends us the funds approximately two weeks after the campaign ends.

We'll then start purchasing any goods we couldn't before the campaign ended, namely the majority of the books. They're all printed in the US, so there are no tariff worries for books.

~May 27. The pledge manager opens.

This allows everyone to add some additional products to their campaign, pay for shipping, etc. Unless there's some drastic change in the way goods are shipped between now and then (god, knock on wood) domestic is a flat $10 regardless of what you order. So it's always a good idea to stock up on some goodies since it'll amortize your expenses. International varies, but we try to save costs by sending goods directly from the shipper. Typically, the largest EU countries, Canada, Brazil, and Australia/NZ get by with only $10 shipping.

AGAIN, we live in some turbulent times regarding international shipping and production, so things could change.

~June 10. It's my birthday! Also, Pledge Manager locks and charges.

Two weeks after the pledge manager opens, we start charging for shipping, add-ons, and pre-orders. This isn't the final final date for everyone, but if you want the PDFs, etc., make sure you have your ducks in a row by this date. PDFs will drop shortly after this date.

~June 17. We start shipping.

Once we receive the funds (3-5 business days later), we purchase any shipping goods we need and start shipping goods. We typically ship in waves starting with domestic and ending with international.

~July 8. Broadsword Guide to the Paraelemental Plane of Ooze and Quasielemental Plane of Radiance books go live on Backerkit.

We're continuing our series of books with a two-book deal: Broadsword Guide to the Paraelemental Plane of Ooze and the Broadsword Guide to the Quasielemental Plane of Radiance. These books will continue the story that starts with Negative Energy Plane, taking your characters closer to epic levels.

~October... ish. Broadsword Guide to the Paralemental Plane of Ice goes live on Backerkit.

The culmination of the first part of the planar story wraps up with the Paraelemental Plane of Ice, which will go live in October.
